Good news – sad news…

Over the last number of months it’s been great traveling and speaking in various churches in NZ. And not only different churches but five different movements. I really enjoy the Body of Christ with all it’s flavours, sizes and emphases. It’s also exciting that there have been salvations and significant instant healings in most places.

I’ve been working closely with Faith Bible College which I have found quite rewarding and we are seeing huge progress and momentum building over the last six months or so. 53 years of history and nearly 5000 students have gone through this amazing school. The stories are quite supernatural. There is still much to be done – new website, building upgrades etc. https://fbc.ac.nz

It was sad news when we heard that Carley Short passed away on Saturday 17th of April. The funeral was a testimony to a life wonderfully and purposefully lived. What a celebration it was! What an amazing woman. Carley was a singer, recording artist, co-founder and Vice Principal of Faith Bible College, Wife to Des for 60 years, a mum to Steven, Darren and Deyon and a Nana. Carley certainly left a fantastic and amazing legacy. We agree, ‘Well done good and faithful servant’.

Karen is now working part time which she enjoys. A few extra hours with Grandies, and yours truly! Karen’s Dad passed away this past month – but sadly we couldn’t be there with the family. The funeral was webcasted and it was great to watch and be a part of the service.

Hopefully the border will open for us to travel to Europe in 2022. Please keep praying for Europe.

The VCI network is going well as is the Multiplication Network (MxN). It’s a joy to see these thrive. It’s also delightful to see the planting of another two new networks – Florida and one in North Holland. These are still in the very early stages.

Macro & Mega Churches

I do enjoy the macro and Mega size churches and they are needed in every city… but what about Micro, have we discounted micro churches?

Micro churches among other things multiply faster and are less complicated and are low cost or no cost.

It’s quite fascinating how many times the Bible mentions ministry happening and churches meeting in homes.

My next update/blog will have a list of meetings in the Bible that took place in homes.

I wonder if God is encouraging you to begin a ministry or a church in your home?

Think about it… Until next time…

Blessings Nick & Karen.
